Power-chairs Jazzy (Standard)

Power-chairs offer the best maneuverability in small spaces because of their short wheel base. Many of our models can be Use in all major resort in the Dominican Republic, most of our client love this type of model for use in all the Resorts & residence in Punta Cana or any part of the island.


Most power-chairs have a maximum weight capacity of 250 lbs. Handicap Travelers DR also offers heavy duty models with weight capacities of up to 450 lbs.


The way you will control your power-chair is with the joystick located on the armrest. The further away from the center you push the joystick, the faster you will go. Most of our models offer left or right handed controls depending on your preference. The power-chair will break automatically when the joystick is released back to the center position providing added security to the driver.


Some power-chair models come with a rotating seat and many have adjustable armrests and semi-reclining backs so you can fit it perfectly to your body. They also come with a footrest that can be folded away when the driver is getting on and off of the chair.

HD Power-chairs

The HD Power-chair is similar to the Standard Power-chair model in terms of features. However, there are some distinct differences. Although this model cannot be disassembled for storage or transport purposes, its big advantage is being able to handle a higher weight capacity compared to the Standard Power-chair.

We recommend using a minivan or SUV with a removable third row when planning to transport this type of power-chair.


Handicap Travelers DR offers these power-chairs with weight capacities of up to 450 lbs (weight and model varies by location).
